1. What Are Cookies

Cookies are small text files that are placed on your device when you visit a website. They are widely used to make websites work, to make them more efficient, and to provide reporting information. Similar technologies, such as pixels, local storage, and software development kits (SDKs) used in our mobile application, perform comparable functions. In this notice, we refer to all of these collectively as "cookies."

Cookies set by us are called "first-party cookies." Cookies set by anyone other than us are called "third-party cookies," and they enable third-party features or functionality, such as analytics and payment processing.

2. Why We Use Cookies

We use cookies to:

  • Keep our services secure: maintain the security of our services and your account, and detect and prevent fraud or abuse.
  • Keep you signed in: authenticate you and maintain your session as you move between pages.
  • Remember your preferences: save choices such as language or display settings so you do not have to set them again.
  • Support core functionality: prevent crashes, fix bugs, and keep basic site features working.
  • Understand and improve our services: analyse how our services are used so we can measure performance and improve quality.
  • Advertising: where permitted, help manage and display advertisements or tailor them to your interests.

3. Types of Cookies We Use

  • Strictly necessary cookies: These are essential for our services to function and cannot be switched off in our systems. They are usually set in response to actions you take, such as signing in, securing your account, or filling in forms. You can set your browser to block these, but some parts of the services may not work as a result.
  • Preference cookies: These allow our services to remember choices you make to give you a more personalised experience.
  • Analytics cookies: These help us understand how visitors interact with our services by collecting and reporting information anonymously, so we can measure and improve performance.
  • Advertising cookies: Where used, these may be set through our services by our advertising partners to build a profile of your interests and show you relevant content on other sites.

4. Third-Party Cookies

In addition to our own cookies, we allow selected third parties and service providers to place cookies through our services. These providers are responsible for their own use of cookies, and we recommend reviewing their privacy and cookie notices. They include:

  • Google Analytics: We use Google Analytics to understand how our services are used. You can opt out of being tracked by Google Analytics by installing the browser add-on available at https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout. For more information, see the Google Privacy & Terms page.
  • Stripe: Our payments are processed by Stripe, which may set cookies to process transactions securely and prevent fraud. For more information, see https://stripe.com/privacy.
  • Social media providers: If you choose to register or log in using a third-party social media account (such as Facebook or Instagram), that provider may set cookies in accordance with their own policies.

5. How Long Cookies Last

Cookies fall into two categories based on how long they remain on your device:

  • Session cookies: These are temporary and are deleted when you close your browser or app.
  • Persistent cookies: These remain on your device for a set period or until you delete them, and they allow us to recognise you on return visits.

We retain the information collected through cookies only for as long as necessary for the purposes set out in this notice and our Privacy Notice.

6. Managing and Refusing Cookies

Most web browsers are set to accept cookies by default. You can usually change your browser settings to remove or reject cookies, including by deleting cookies that have already been set. The "Help" or "Settings" menu of your browser will tell you how.

Please note that if you choose to remove or reject cookies, this could affect the availability and functionality of certain features or services. Strictly necessary cookies cannot be rejected without affecting how our services work.

On mobile devices, you can manage tracking through your device settings, including resetting or limiting the use of advertising identifiers.

7. Do-Not-Track Signals

Most web browsers and some mobile operating systems include a Do-Not-Track ("DNT") feature you can activate to signal your preference not to have your online activities tracked. At this stage, no uniform technology standard for recognising and implementing DNT signals has been finalised. As such, we do not currently respond to DNT browser signals. If a standard is adopted that we must follow in the future, we will inform you in a revised version of this notice.

We may update this Cookie Notice from time to time to reflect changes in the cookies we use or for operational, legal, or regulatory reasons. The "Last Updated" date will reflect the latest version. We encourage you to review this notice periodically to stay informed about our use of cookies.

9. Contact Us
